The Windwaze hardware unit is a fully integrated water proof design including anemometer, electronics, power supply etc.

• Ultrasonic anemometer (wind gauge)

  • The ultrasonic anemometer measures wind speed and direction. It has high accuracy, no moving parts, no maintenance.

• Magnetometer (electronic compass)

  • Adjusts the anemometer’s wind direction value according to compass north, and also feeds the app with true heading for the yacht (provided the sensor is aligned with the yacht’s longitudinal direction.

• Gyroskop Accelerometer

  • Assists the magnetometer in providing a correct value also when the yacht is heeling.

• Processor / memory module

• BLE / Wifi module

  • For communication with the Windwaze app.

• Power converter 12v > 5v plus a connector with cable to connect to 12v

  • Power consumption is a very low 30 mA, so it is recommended to have the sensor device powered on at all times.
